Witchy 101: Beginning Again, On Purpose
There comes a moment on any path where you realize—
you didn’t actually get to start at the beginning.
You inherited ideas.
You absorbed beliefs.
You picked up language, symbolism, and expectations
without always understanding where they came from…
or whether they were even yours.
And witchcraft is no different.
For many of us, the word “witch” came with weight long before it came with choice.
Fear.
Stereotypes.
Warnings.
Or on the other end of the spectrum—
aesthetic.
trend.
performance.
Very rarely did we get something simple.
Something grounded.
Something that said:
“Here is how you begin.”
That’s what Witchy 101 is.
Not a rulebook.
Not a gate.
Not a checklist of what makes you “real” or “valid.”
But a return.
A return to the foundation of this path—
awareness, intention, and relationship.
Because before tools, before rituals, before labels—
there is noticing.
Noticing your thoughts.
Your reactions.
Your patterns.
Your energy.
Noticing where you feel aligned…
and where you don’t.
From there, everything else begins to build.
This series isn’t about giving you all the answers.
It’s about helping you ask better questions.
What feels true to me?
What have I been taught that doesn’t actually belong to me?
What am I noticing now that I didn’t see before?
We’re going to talk about what witchcraft is.
What it isn’t.
What it feels like.
What you actually do.
We’re going to talk about the parts that are exciting—
and the parts that are uncomfortable.
Because both are real.
Both are necessary.
This isn’t about becoming someone else.
It’s about becoming more aware
of who you already are.
And we’re going to move through this slowly.
Intentionally.
Not rushing transformation.
Not forcing clarity.
But allowing something to unfold.
So if you’re at the very beginning—welcome.
If you’ve been on this path for years
but feel like you’re circling back—also welcome.
There is no “too late” here.
There is no “too far behind.”
There is only the moment you decide
to begin again—
with awareness.
And that?
That’s where the practice starts.
